Immigration consultancy Fragomen has opened a second Irish office, based in Cork.
Practice leader Claire Cumiskey will lead the new office, supported by Ireland managing partner Ángel Bello-Cortés.
Ms Cumiskey has more than eight years’ experience in the Irish immigration sector including assisting corporate clients to comply with Irish immigration requirements.
Prior to joining Fragomen, she worked in both the NGO and corporate sectors, providing support to non-EEA nationals from diverse backgrounds.
She holds a BCL and LLM from University College Cork.
Fragomen, which does not operate a law firm in Ireland, says its new Cork office will enable it to offer enhanced, locally informed support to clients across the southern and western regions, where demand for global mobility services is flourishing.
Commenting on the expansion, Mr Bello-Cortés said: “Cork offers a unique combination of a business-friendly environment and a highly skilled workforce.
“As companies increasingly look to expand beyond traditional hubs, Cork’s strategic location and dynamic sectors make it an ideal base for driving international growth and fostering innovation.”
George Koureas, Fragomen’s managing partner for Europe, added: “This move is part of Fragomen’s strategy to expand in critical regional hubs where global mobility and local insights intersect.
“With a stronger presence in Cork, the firm is poised to deliver even more targeted and responsive support for clients navigating increasingly complex international mobility needs.”
Ms Cumiskey added: “This region boasts exceptional talent, and positioning a team in Cork underscores our commitment to investing in people and delivering best-in-class service.
“We look forward to building deeper partnerships with clients and the local community as we continue to expand our footprint.”
