Fieldfisher Ireland LLP has promoted Jamie Woodcock to partner in the firm’s corporate and commercial practice in Dublin.

Mr Woodcock is a longstanding member of the team, having joined the firm in 2015, and is promoted with effect from today.

He acts for a broad mixture of Irish and international businesses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholders’ agreements and restructurings, and is known for providing practical, commercial advice tailored to clients’ objectives.

He has particular expertise advising technology companies and start-ups, as well as renewable energy developers and funders.

He also advises on corporate governance issues, supporting boards on decision-making, compliance and risk management.

Beyond his work in the corporate and commercial practice, Mr Woodcock plays a significant leadership role across the firm, actively supporting recruitment and the development of talent, and driving technological innovation as the firm’s ‘AI Champion’.

Fieldfisher Ireland’s corporate and commercial team advises on M&A, commercial contracts, governance and compliance, private equity fundraisings, joint ventures, restructurings and corporate finance.

Mr Woodcock’s promotion follows the firm’s recent expansion through a merger with Regan Wall, which the firm says has strengthened its corporate offering nationally and enhanced its ability to support clients on complex, cross-border matters.

JP McDowell, managing partner of Fieldfisher Ireland, said: “Jamie’s promotion is testament to his outstanding client work and leadership. He blends technical expertise with commercial acumen and a collaborative style that clients appreciate.

“As we continue to build our corporate capability in Ireland, including following our recent merger with Regan Wall announced in November 2025, Jamie’s appointment is a significant step in strengthening our partner-led offering.”

Mr Woodcock added: “I’m delighted to step into the role of partner at Fieldfisher. Over the past decade, I’ve seen the power of the firm’s collaborative culture and focus on delivering exceptional client service.

“My work with colleagues across our international network has shaped my approach and enhanced my practice. I’m excited to build on that experience and continue supporting clients on their most significant corporate matters, particularly as the navigate opportunities in the technology and energy sectors.”
