David Wilson
Fee-share law firm Excello has welcomed David Wilson as a new partner in its Northern Ireland team.
Mr Wilson’s appointment coincides with the expansion of the firm’s office space in Belfast city centre, one year on from its formal opening.
A property specialist, Mr Wilson is well-known for his expertise in landlord and tenant work as well as acquisition and disposal of office blocks, retail parks, warehouses and landed estates. He acts for a range of high street retailers, institutions, developers and private clients.
He recently advised on the sale of the Delacherois Estate in Donaghadee, Co Down to renowned house developer Lotus Homes for a significant seven-figure sum, involving the sale of lands with planning approval for residential development, a historic manor house and market house, together with agricultural and zoned lands.
He also acted for cosmetics retailer Lush in the leasehold acquisition of its flagship store in Belfast, and recently in lease re-gears for the company’s Ireland-wide portfolio.
With more than two decades of experience, Mr Wilson bolsters Excello’s existing real estate practice in the Belfast area, joining a team led by Gregory Martin, the firm’s Northern Ireland managing partner.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Wilson said: “I joined Excello to give me the autonomy to develop my practice whilst working in a collegiate environment with a strong support network.
“The firm’s fee-share model is appealing and provides an ideal platform to build my practice and work alongside quality colleagues.
Mr Martin added: “We are very pleased to welcome David Wilson into our real estate team as we continue to expand in Northern Ireland.
“In the year since launching the Belfast office, our headcount has continued to grow, with further announcements to follow later this year.”
Excello Law launched in Northern Ireland in January 2025 and now has offices across the UK as well as overseas in Dubai and the USA, with more than 270 lawyers worldwide.
The firm offers lawyers in Ireland and Northern Ireland the freedom to run their own practice with full operational support behind them, drawing on a referral network and the multinational expertise of colleagues.
Excello has now expanded its office space in central Belfast location Eagle Star House to accommodate a growing team.
In 2025, the firm announced record annual turnover of £30.5 million, a 26.6 per cent year-on-year increase and representing 170 per cent growth over the past three years.
