ELSA Ireland elects new national board for 2025/2026

Law students from Dublin City University, Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin have been elected to the national board of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) Ireland.
ELSA Ireland, part of the largest law students’ association in the world, held its 29th national council meeting at Trinity College Dublin on Friday, where the national board for 2025/26 was elected.
DCU student Sinead Mañalac was elected as president, succeeding Adrian Karbownik, who has stepped down from the board.
Ben Petherbridge, also of DCU, has been elected secretary-general, while TCD student James De Barra was elected as treasurer.
Regina Chow was elected as VP for marketing, Zara Stafford as VP for academic activities, Daniel Bakare as VP for seminars and conferences, Cyle Grant as VP for competitions, Darragh McDonald as VP for professional development and Róisín McDonagh as VP for diversity and inclusion.
All of the VPs are DCU students with the exception of Ms McDonagh, who is a UCD student.
Ms Chow told Irish Legal News: “The past year ELSA Ireland was able to grow in reputation and strength among the international network of the European Law Students’ Association.
“We are all incredibly excited to continue that upwards progress and extend the community to more law students across Ireland.”
