Courts service sets out ICT strategy for next three years

The Courts Service has published its ICT strategy for the next three years, identifying six key themes and 42 actions to help make access to justice “easier, quicker and more cost effective”.

The 58-page document identifies six key themes and 42 actions, targeting improvements across external facing areas of the business, such as court technology and digital case management, as well as internal areas of focus, such as desktop and infrastructure enhancements, ICT security and resilience, and the capacity, capability and governance of ICT.

Chief information officer Owen Harrison said: “This strategy is a key enabler of the Courts Service’s Digital First strategic goal and plans for our Modernisation Programme.

“It sets out how the use of technology will continue improving the services we provide Court users and the supports provided for the judiciary and staff.”
