Staff at Belfast firm Cleaver Fulton Rankin have visited their chosen Charity of the Year, Barnardo’s.

Members of the firm’s charity committee spent a morning at the Belfast Barnardo’s Northern Ireland Family Resource Centre at Windsor Avenue to find out what their fundraising would provide.

Representatives from Barnardo’s talked through the services the centre provides, including a range of assessment and support services which are provided to both families and children who are experiencing relationship difficulties which prevent the enjoyment of family life, or where there is a concern regarding the welfare of a child.

After the visit, Sarah Burrows, head of the charity department at Cleaver Fulton Rankin, said: “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to visit the Family Resource Centre at Windsor Avenue and learn more about the service we are supporting.

“This visit allowed members of our Charity Committee to understand how local families benefit from this valuable service.

“We would like to thank Barnardo’s for taking the time to talk through the services and provide a tour of the building which provided an insight regarding what resources are there and the types of support vulnerable families receive.”
