ByrneWallace LLP has announced the appointment of seven new partners across a range of practice areas.

The new partners are Triona Ryan, Gráinne Murphy, Eoin McGlinchey, Morag McCullagh, Fiona Wood, Daniel Holohan and Zelda Deasy.

Ms Ryan has been appointed as a partner in the banking and finance team, while Ms Murphy and Mr McGlinchey are in litigation and dispute resolution and Ms McCullagh and Ms Wood are in health and social care. Mr Holohan is in the corporate team and Ms Deasy is in the corporate and privacy and data protection teams.

“As a full-service law firm offering a cross-departmental approach, the appointment of seven new partners, who have each individually demonstrated expert legal advice and excellent client service, ensures that we are in a strong position as we continue to advise our expansive client base across both public and private sectors,” said managing partner Feargal Brennan.

“Covid-19 has provided us with the opportunity to adapt and refocus the way we support and advise our clients. We have invested heavily in training our people, and enhancing our IT infrastructure, and look forward to what will be an exciting and challenging time for our country, industry and firm as we emerge from the pandemic.”

Alison O’Sullivan, HR partner and partner in the firm’s property practice, added: “In 2018, ByrneWallace LLP was the first large Irish law firm to achieve gender parity at partnership level and we have maintained that balance. We have continued to invest in and develop a working environment which supports and encourages our lawyers to excel and thrive in senior positions within the firm regardless of gender.”

Mr Brennan added: “On behalf of my colleagues, I would like to congratulate Triona, Gráinne, Eoin, Daniel, Morag, Fiona and Zelda on this significant milestone in their careers and wish them every success as they take on their new roles.”
