Bernadette Raleigh
Global law firm Clyde & Co has promoted Bernadette Raleigh to partner and head of casualty in Ireland.
Ms Raleigh joined the firm in 2017 and has over 14 years’ experience advising insurers and corporate policyholders on public and employers’ liability, product liability and motor-related injury claims.
Her expertise also extends to maritime law, where she supports ship owners, charterers, operators, brokers, and insurers across Ireland.
Dual-qualified in Ireland and in England and Wales, Ms Raleigh recently completed a mediation course at Harvard Law School and is an active member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association (DSBA).
In 2024, she was selected for Clyde & Co’s global exchange programme, spending a week with the firm’s New York casualty team.
Garrett Moore, managing partner of Clyde’s Dublin office, said: “Bernadette’s well-deserved promotion reflects her dedication, service excellence and commitment to clients.
“It forms part of an ongoing strategic re-positioning of Clyde and Co Ireland’s casualty practice and the expansion of our contentious and non-contentious capability for non-casualty insurance purposes.
“Bernadette will play a very significant role in this, with her expertise helping us continue to deliver market-leading services within the casualty space.”
Ms Raleigh added: “I’m hugely excited about the opportunity to lead the growth of the casualty group in Ireland and I am looking forward to helping insurers and other clients navigate the growing volume and complexity of casualty claims.”
The firm has also recently confirmed the promotions in Dublin of Catherine Kitson and Jon Stevenson to senior associate roles in its casualty and IFPD (insurance, financial and professional disputes) practice groups respectively.
Clyde & Co’s Dublin office now comprises a 35-strong team.
