NI: Average NI house price rises to £157,000

House prices in Northern Ireland rose by 2.4 per cent over the year to February 2016 to reach an average of £157,000, according to the Office of National Statistics (ONS).
The increase was lower than the 7.5 per cent rise noted across the UK, where the average property value now stands at £284,000.
The ONS report said “a shortage of supply and robust demand” may be responsible for the “continuing upward price pressures in the housing market”.
