The respected lawyer had practised in the city since the 1980s, and established the solicitor firm L J Mallon & Co on English Street.

He is survived by his wife Colette and sons Charlie, James and Darragh.

Requiem Mass was held in St. Patrick’s Church, Keady with burial in the adjoining cemetery on Monday.

Donations are being accepted, in lieu of flowers, for the Cardiac Care Unit at Craigavon Area Hospital and will be received by any member of the family or the undertaker, Martin Kelly Funeral Home, 10A Mooreisland Road, Armagh BT61 8LX.
