And finally… yes, we have no bananas!

China has cracked down on the use of Internet streaming services by young women who broadcast themselves eating bananas “seductively” and “erotically”.

New rules introduced by the country’s Ministry of Culture are aimed at cutting down on content that is “too vulgar, violent, or too sexual”, according to state-owned CCTVNews.

The new regulations require live-streaming services to monitor their output and take action against inappropriate content, including women who choose to “eat bananas seductively”.

The ban has been met with derision, with some Chinese social media users asking if men will still be allowed to eat bananas while live on air.

Another sceptic, according to the BBC, said: “They will all start eating cucumbers, and if that’s no good, yams.”
