And finally… wedding crasher

An arranged marriage in Tamil Nadu, India went off script when the groom’s brother unexpectedly married the bride instead.

The Bollywood-esque twist happened last Thursday as a man intended to marry a 20-year-old woman at Bala Murugan Temple at Ilayampatti.

When the priest prompted the man to tie a thali (holy thread) around the bride’s neck, the man’s younger brother suddenly pushed him aside, pulled out his own thali and tied that to her instead.

The bride refused to remove the thali and revealed to their families that she and the younger brother had been in a secret relationship for months, the New Indian Express reports.

The shock turn of events has led to chaos within both families. It remains unclear if the young couple will have a happy ending.
