A man made an unusual marriage proposal after getting down on one knee while handcuffed and under arrest.
Brandon Thompson was arrested for six felony warrants on America’s Independence Day, which was also his birthday.
But, in desperation, he told officers he was about to propose, prompting them to allow him to get down on one knee and ask Leandria Keith to marry him.
The bride-to-be told News on 6: “Oh my gosh is he serious? But I knew I was gonna say yes. Like I love him a lot. We go through our ups and downs. I guess it’s like an unconditional love, you know?”
She also said the police were “amazing” for allowing him to propose.
