In a bizarre tirade, Trump himself said: “Everybody says it, but I have a judge who is a hater of Donald Trump, a hater. He’s a hater.”

The judge in question - Gonzalo Curiel - is currently presiding over a class action fraud suit against the defunct Trump University.

Judge Curiel yesterday unsealed 381 pages of documents relating to the case.

Trump has accused him of bias and made outrageous comments about Judge Curiel’s ethnic background.

He claimed the judge “happens to be, we believe, Mexican, which is great, I think that’s fine”.

Jeffrey Toobin, senior legal analyst for CNN, said the attacks were in line with Trump’s style of “bigoted name-calling, not reasoned critique”.
