And finally… time’s up

A mafioso has been released from an American federal prison, at the age of 100.

John “Sonny” Franzese, an under boss to the Colombo crime family, the youngest of the “five families”, was convicted in 1967 of bank robbery.

He has been paroled and reimprisoned six times since then – most recently in 2010 after he was caught shaking down a pizzeria and strip clubs.

Franzese plans to spend the remainder of his days with his daughter in Brooklyn, his son said.
