Video footage shared online appears to show Carmine Marceno, head of Lee County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, taking off in a Ferrari while his friend filming shouts: “Juice that motherfucker!”

The footage was published by the Florida Trident a week after Marceno announced the arrest of an 18-year-old on a street racing charge.

At the time, Marceno said: “I have zero tolerance for street racing in Lee County.

“Driving an [sic] excessive speed and putting yourself, your passengers, and others on the road at risk is an incredibly selfish decision.

“My deputies will continue to patrol the roads of Lee County, ensuring drivers make smart choices or they will face the consequences.”

The video published by the Trident shows Marceno’s friend struggling to keep up with him despite his speedometer showing 74 miles per hour.

According to the Trident, the road shown in the video has a speed limit of 50 miles per hour.
