And finally… smooth operator

A woman has been arrested in the US after smearing thirty cars with smooth peanut butter outside what she believed was a Donald Trump rally - but was actually a meeting of a local conservation club.

Christina Ferguson, 32, entered a meeting of Tomorrow River Conservation Club holding a “family-size jar of low-sodium, creamy natural Jif”.

She is then said to have shouted at bewildered members about how much she hated Donald Trump.

When she left, concerned members followed her to check their vehicles, and allegedly caught Ferguson spreading peanut butter on the cars.

Officers later questioned Ms Ferguson, who denied leaving her apartment while allegedly licking her fingers repeatedly, the complaint says.

She eventually admitted the crime and expressed remorse for her mistake.

Chief Deputy Dan Konto said: “Fortunately it wasn’t chunky peanut butter, so vehicles didn’t get scratched.”
