And finally… raising a stink
A couple who threatened to sue an airline after spending a 13-hour flight seated next to a farting dog have received a refund.
New Zealand couple Gill and Warren Press were so disturbed by their furry seatmate during the lengthy flight from Paris to Singapore that they accepted an offer to relocate from the premium economy section of the plane to the economy section.
Afterwards, the couple received an apology and were offered two travel vouchers worth $200 NZD each (around €115 or £100).
However, the couple demanded compensation proportionate to the difference in price between economy and premium economy and eventually received the full $1,965 NZD (around €1,100 or £960) payout.
The couple says they plan to donate the money to Blind Low Vision NZ, an organisation dedicated to pairing service dogs with the visually impaired, insider.com reports.
