And finally… hot water

Former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan is to appear in court on a charge of trespassing near hot springs at Yellowstone National Park.

The 70-year-old actor will appear in court in Wyoming on 23 January 2024, the BBC reports.

Access to the Mammoth Hot Springs is strictly limited and more than 20 people have died after falling into the boiling-hot springs.

Mr Brosnan is accused of leaving the boardwalk to enter the off-limits area — which does irreversible damage to the springs’ fragile crusts — on 1 November 2023.

Others facing similar charges have been jailed for up to 10 days, ordered to pay hundreds of dollars in fines and/or banned from Yellowstone, according to NPR.
