And finally… enterprise badge

An enterprising Girl Scout exceeded her cookie sale target after setting up shop outside a marijuana dispensary in Portland, Oregon.

The youngster set up a stall outside Foster Buds Marijuana Dispensary under the supervision of her aunt, who helped her come up with the idea.

Sales began in minutes and the 35-box target was smashed by the time they left, KATU reports.

A spokesperson for the Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington said they don’t condone the behaviour, but it’s not strictly against the rules.

The group’s guidelines merely “recommend that if a minor cannot enter a premises unaccompanied, she should not sell Girl Scout Cookies in front of the premises”.

However, that hasn’t deterred Girl Scouts across the country from coming up with similar initiatives.

Girl Scout Danielle Lei set up shop outside a San Francisco medical marijuana dispensary earlier in the month and sold 180 boxes of cookies in just two hours.

In a statement on Facebook, the dispensary said it was “so pleased to have this entrepreneurial young lady back to sell cookies outside our storefront for the third year in a row”.
