A man has been banned from Twitter after he made a death threat — against a mosquito.
The threats began on 20 August after the Japanese man was repeatedly bitten while watching TV.
After he killed the mosquito he tweeted: “Where do you get off biting me all over while I’m just trying to relax and watch TV? Die! (Actually you’re already dead).”
He included a picture of the dead creature but later received a message from Twitter saying his account has been frozen and could not be reactivated.
He tweeted: “My previous account was permanently frozen after I said I killed a mosquito. Is this a violation?”
The tweet has since gone viral, with other users ridiculing Twitter for the ban.
