A&L Goodbody has recruited Eoin O Connor, Eimear O’Brien and their team to the firm’s financial regulation advisory group.

The new partners join alongside senior associate Bill Laffan and associate Hannah Vero, and will work with the existing team of partners Patrick Brandt and Louise Hogan and four other lawyers.

Mr O Connor will lead the enhanced team, which combines advisory and contentious regulatory experience for regulated financial services clients.

David Widger, managing partner at ALG, said: “We’ve seen significant demand from clients for advisory services in financial regulation and investigations.

“As part of our strategy to grow our business to meet client demand, we are investing in our financial regulation advisory group.

“I’m delighted to welcome Eoin, Eimear, Bill and Hannah to our market-leading team and their addition really sets us apart in the market.”

Marie O’Brien, head of finance department at ALG, said: “Our financial regulatory advisory group is at the centre of our relationships with financial services clients and has been at the forefront of the largest and most complex regulatory projects over recent years.

“We are pleased to continue our investment in this area with Eoin and Eimear joining the practice.”

Dario Dagostino, head of regulatory investigations at ALG, added: “For over a decade, we’ve provided regulated firms in financial services a unique offering combining advisory and contentious specialists.

“Our regulatory investigations group, including partners Mark Devane and Chloe Culleton, are excited to work alongside our expanded financial regulatory advisory group to provide seamless support and strategic advice to our clients.”
