A&L Goodbody advises on ten ‘Deals of the Year 2017’

A&L Goodbody advised on ten of the winning deals across all six categories in “Deals of the Year 2017” published by Finance Dublin. These ‘winning deals’ showcase A&L Goodbody’s specialist financial services legal expertise across the full range of banking and finance transactions.

Over 150 deals were entered in 2017, reflecting the continued growth in the Irish economy and more specifically in the corporate finance sector. The scale and complexity of the winning deals underpin Ireland’s strength in this key sector as well as strengthens Ireland’s position in the international market.

M&A Deal of the Year: Johnson Controls Inc. merger with Tyco International plc, subsequent spin off and listing of Adient plc; and Sumitomo Corporation takeover of Fyffes plc

Equity Capital Markets: Draper Esprit plc IPO; and Cairn Homes placing and open offer.

Debt Capital Markets: daa finance plc tender offer and new note issuance

Loans & Financing: Dalata Hotel Group plc refinancing of syndicated debt facilities; and Project Jewel loan portfolio.

International Financial Services: Amundi acquisition of Kleinwort Benson Investors; and Norwegian Air Shuttle EETC
