A History of Ireland in 100 Stamps nominated for Irish History Book of the Year at the Irish Book Awards
A History of Ireland in 100 Stamps has been nominated for Irish History Book of the Year at the Irish Book Awards.
Authored by High Court judge Mr Justice Max Barrett the book tells the history of Ireland through one hundred postage stamps issued since the creation of the Irish Free State.
Judge Barrett said: “All my post-tax royalties from the book are going to the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre, so I’m doubly delighted by the nomination as more publicity means more sales and hence more money going to a good cause.”
The winner of the award is decided by jury and a public vote. Votes can be cast here: https://www.irishbookawards.ie/vote/
Every voter is in with a chance to win a €100 book token.
