Urology Inquiry

A public inquiry into the work of a Southern Trust urologist, to be chaired by Christine Smith QC, will begin next week. The inquiry, which will be set up on 6 September 2021, will make history as the first public inquiry in Northern Ireland to be chaired by a woman.

Christine Smith QC has been appointed to chair the public inquiry into the work of a Southern Trust urologist. The "historic appointment" makes Ms Smith the first woman to chair a public inquiry in Northern Ireland, The Bar of Northern Ireland has said.
