Elliotts Legal celebrated its first anniversary yesterday, marking one year since its formation from the merger of two of Northern Ireland's most established legal practices.

Belfast-based Elliotts Legal has promoted John McElrone and Keara Powell to partner. Mr McElrone yesterday became a partner in the firm's corporate and banking department, while Ms Powell became partner in the litigation and dispute resolution department.

Two long-standing Belfast law firms, Elliott Duffy Garrett and Johns Elliot, are to join forces as Elliotts Legal.
