Justice minister Jim O’Callaghan has announced the appointment of Enda O’Neill as the Chief Inspector of Asylum Border Procedures. Mr. O’Neill will head the Office of the Chief Inspector of Asylum Border Procedures with effect from 11 September 2026 for a period of five years.
