The Senior Legal Advisor will actively engage in providing advice on policy and legislative reform relating to HIQA’s functions and will advise on complex legal, regulatory and administrative law matters, supporting monitoring and enforcement activity, managing litigation, and contributing to organisational decision-making and policy development. As a trusted legal advisor, they will collaborate closely with senior management, regulatory teams, external counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure that the organisation operates effectively, lawfully, and in accordance with principles of good governance and public administration.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Legal Services and will be required to take an active role in supporting the Head of Legal Services in the leadership, management and delivery of legal services, in what is a dynamic and fast-paced public sector organisation.
