Conveyancing Solicitor

Elliotts Legal is a newly established practice following the merger of Elliott Duffy Garrett and Johns Elliot.

Elliotts Legal are seeking a motivated Solicitor to join their friendly and supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a full and varied caseload of commercial and residential conveyancing and landlord and tenant transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Deal with leases, lease management (acting for both landlords and tenants), sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity.
  • Advising developer clients on development projects and property finance, covenants, road/sewer adoption.
  • Advising Management Companies on acquisition of reversionary interests, leasehold/freehold, restrictive covenants on title, corporate governance under Articles of Association.
  • Corporate, Banking and Litigation support.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and a proactive approach.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, lenders, estate agents, surveyors, accountants and other solicitors.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and firm policies.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, with 1 to 3 years PQE.
  • Proven experience of managing files independently.
  • Ability to work well in a team, strong drafting skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with ability to manage tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude with attention to detail.
  • Good academic qualifications.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and management of risk issues including anti money laundering and Data Protection.
