Chief Court Delays Assessor

The Court Proceedings (Delays) Act 2024 creates a statutory right to the conclusion of proceedings within a reasonable time. It provides for the establishment of an independent assessment process, under the aegis of the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration to assess applicant claims for breach of the right to the conclusion of proceedings within a reasonable time. Assessments will be carried out by either the Chief Court Delays Assessor or Court Delays Assessors, appointed by the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who possess the relevant expertise and experience for the role of Chief Court Delays Assessor. This is an excellent opportunity to fulfil a key role and work in conjunction with the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration in relation to the provisions of the Act.
