ICEL Members’ Committee – Practice and Procedure before the CJEU

The ICEL Members’ Committee is delighted to host a practical afternoon seminar on CJEU Practice and Procedure, which will take place in hybrid format, both in the Dublin Dispute Resolution Centre (DDRC) and on online, on Thursday 10th July from 14:30 – 17:30. For in-person attendees, this event will be followed by a networking in ‘The Sheds’ with finger food and drinks.
This seminar is aimed at legal colleagues in professional practice: in law firms, at the Bar, in-house, working for the State, with a particular focus on practitioners who are:
- Looking to gain valuable, practical insights into the workings of the Court of Justice of the European Union
- Appearing in EU law proceedings or who are seeking to develop an EU law practice
- Briefing Counsel on EU matters
- Advising clients as to the trajectory of EU proceedings or on adopting a strategic approach to EU litigation
The seminar aims to provide practical advice, tips and information, as well as thought-provoking insights from a series of experienced speakers, including:
- Chair, Mr Justice Rory Mulcahy
- Presentations from Clare Moriarty, Référendaire (Legal Clerk) to Judge Eugene Regan, Court of Justice of the European Union, and Bernadette Quigley SC, Law Library
- ‘Fireside chat’ with Judge Suzanne Kingston, General Court of the European Union, and Karen Banks, Former Deputy Director-General, European Commission Legal Service

Tickets are priced as follows:
- €50 for in-person attendance for non-ICEL members
- €40 for in-person attendance for ICEL members
- €20 for hybrid attendees, junior practitioners of less than 5 years’ standing and students
