Environmental Law Enforcement: Emerging Challenges 2025

The EPA and ICEL are pleased to announce their annual conference, Environmental Law Enforcement: Emerging Challenges 2025, which will take place on Friday, 28 November 2025, from 9:00 a.m. at Chartered Accountants House, Pearse Street, Dublin 2.

This flagship event brings together members of the judiciary, legal practitioners, regulators, policymakers, and academics to explore the evolving landscape of environmental law enforcement in Ireland and across the EU.

A highlight of this year’s conference will be a keynote address by Commissioner Michael McGrath entitled “Why the Environment Is a Rule of Law Issue”

Convened by Dr Tom Ryan (EPA) and Margaret Gray SC KC, the conference will feature distinguished speakers including:

  • The Hon Ms Justice Elizabeth Dunne
  • The Hon Mr Justice Anthony M. Collins, President of ICEL
  • The Hon Mr Justice Richard Humphreys
  • Paul Gallagher SC
