Solicitor Susan O’Halloran has been appointed chief legal officer of the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA).

Ms O’Halloran joined the NTMA in 2012 and served as head of the NTMA’s legal unit prior to her appointment as chief legal officer.

She was previously a corporate partner at McCann FitzGerald for 10 years, where she also trained and worked following qualification as a solicitor.

Ms O’Halloran is a graduate of University College Cork and UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

The NTMA is a public body which operates with a commercial remit to provide asset and liability management services to the Government.

It has evolved from a single function agency managing the national debt to a manager of a complex portfolio of public assets and liabilities.
