Six books shortlisted for Birks Book Prize 2017

Six books have been shortlisted for the Peter Birks Book Prize for Outstanding Legal Scholarship.

The award will be handed out at the annual Society of Legal Scholars (SLS) conference dinner at The Honourable Society of King’s Inns in Dublin early next month.

The authors and their shortlisted books are:

  • Christina Angelopoulos, European Intermediary Liability in Copyright: A Tort-Based Analysis, Wolters Kluwer Alphen aan den Rijn 2017

  • Alysia Blackham, Extending Working Life for Older Workers, Hart Publishing 2016

  • James Gerard Devaney, Fact-Finding before the International Court of Justice, Cambridge University Press 2016

  • Mazen Masri, The Dynamics of Exclusionary Constitutionalism, Hart Publishing 2017

  • Devyani Prabhat, Unleashing the Force of Law, Palgrave 2016

  • Sharon Thompson, Prenuptial Agreements and the Presumption of Free Choice: Issues of Power in Theory and Practice, Hart Publishing 2015
