Scottish lawyers to back Remain in EU referendum

Asked how they intended to vote in next month’s referendum, 78 per cent of 528 respondents said Remain, while only 22 per cent said Leave.

Results of the survey were published in yesterday’s edition of Scotland’s daily legal news service.

SLN assistant editor Kapil Summan said: “Scots lawyers are cautious and thoughtful and, while we were not surprised the majority were in favour of the UK remaining in the EU, we were surprised at the size of the majority and the landslide victory for Remain.”
