Sarah Grace joins board of abuse survivor-led charity Beyond Surviving

Solicitor Sarah Grace has joined the board of Beyond Surviving, a survivor-led charity offering support for those affected by domestic, sexual, and gender-based violence.
Ms Grace, a corporate lawyer and certified yoga teacher, has been appointed to the board as legal trustee alongside the appointment of former CFO Andrew Mussett as financial trustee.
She brings extensive legal expertise, combining her two passions of effective corporate governance and building a brighter future for all survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.
Founded this year by Ciara Mangan, Beyond Surviving is Ireland’s first survivor-led charity supporting victim-survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence post-crisis.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms Grace said: “I am so honoured to have joined the board of Beyond Surviving, a survivor-led charity whose mission is to offer healing and wellbeing support to those affected by domestic, gender and sexual-based violence.
“Only one week in and I am already blown away by Ciara Mangan’s vision, her leadership and drive, as well as the board’s total dedication to building a brighter future for all DSGBV survivors. Here’s to bringing meaningful change for them.”
Ms Grace is the global head of corporate governance at Stripe.
Since surviving a violent sexual assault in 2019, she has been dedicated to supporting other survivors and has been working tirelessly with policymakers for legal reforms, including justice ministers Helen McEntee and Jim O’Callaghan.
She is the bestselling author of Ash + Salt, in which she sets out the tools for survivors to navigate Ireland’s criminal justice system, and charts the path back to healing.
Of French and Irish nationality, she holds an LLB in law and French law from University College London and Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas.
She previously lived in Japan, Cambodia, France and England. She brings with her international experience and deep corporate governance expertise.
