Ronan Daly Jermyn has announced the re-appointment of its managing partner Richard Martin for a second four-year term.

Mr Martin has been the “driving force” behind the Cork-based firm’s recent expansion, with the opening of offices in Dublin and London, strategic resourcing and establishment of industry-focused teams.

He became a partner in 1995 and has advised on many large scale and complex disputes. He has represented clients both in the Irish and European Courts and in national and non-national Arbitral Tribunals.

Mr Martin was first appointed as managing partner in 2012 and the firm has grown significantly since then.

In October 2013, Ronan Daly Jermyn opened an office in London and more than doubled the space of its Galway office. A year later, the firm expanded its presence in Ireland with the opening of a Dublin office.

Since its opening in late 2014, the staff at that Dublin office has more than doubled. Overall, the firm has seen a net growth in staff of almost 50 per cent over the past three years to total 220 people.

Speaking after his re-appointment, Mr Martin said: “I am grateful for the confidence and trust that the partners have placed in me to lead Ronan Daly Jermyn through to 2020.

“We will continue to prioritise our client’s needs for service, whether that means providing deeper resources in a geographic region, innovative solutions to a legal issue or a forward-thinking approach to their business.”
