Deloitte partner Róisín Fitzpatrick has been appointed as interim chairperson of legal rights charity FLAC.

Ms Fitzpatrick, a solicitor who works in Deloitte’s corporate immigration team, takes the reins from David Fennelly BL, who has served as chairperson since 2021.

Commenting on his departure, Mr Fennelly said: “During my time on FLAC Council, it has been a privilege and pleasure to work with all of the FLAC team.

“I have seen first-hand the huge commitment and contribution of FLAC staff, volunteers and supporters. Without this, FLAC would simply not be able to do its invaluable work.

“We are fortunate to have Róisín Fitzpatrick, herself a long-standing volunteer, take up the role of chair and I wish Róisín very well.”

Ms Fitzpatrick joined the FLAC Council in 2023, having volunteered in FLAC’s legal advice clinics since her time studying in the University of Galway.
