O'Flynn Exhams brings the moon to Cork

Staff at O’Flynn Exhams Solicitors visited Museum of the Moon on the first day of its installation in Cork Institute of Technology.

The Cork-based firm sponsored the giant moon installation, which opened for free public viewing as part of Cork Midsummer Festival on Wednesday morning and remains in situ until 8.30pm tonight.

The internationally-toured work by artist Luke Jerram is seven metres in diameter and features detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface.

People of all ages are invited to bathe beneath the moonlight and experience an atmospheric soundtrack created by BAFTA and Ivor Novello award-winning composer, Dan Jones.

Richard Neville, managing partner, said: “We are delighted to support Cork Midsummer Festival in bringing this fantastic installation to CIT. Museum of the Moon is a completely unique experience, and one that we are sure the people of Cork will thoroughly enjoy.”
