The Department of Law at Maynooth University (MU) hosted a recent meeting of the Criminal Law Forum.

The Forum was established by Úna Ní Raifeartaigh, now a judge of the High Court, and Niamh Maguire, lecturer at Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT), and aims to provide a space for the cross-fertilization of knowledge and ideas between practitioners and academics working in the broad criminal justice area.

The Department of Law in Maynooth has been invited by Ms Justice Ní Raifeartaigh to coordinate the Forum into the future. The judge was recently appointed an adjunct professor of law at Maynooth.
