Matheson’s asset management and investment funds group has been ranked by Monterey Insight’s Ireland Fund Report as Ireland’s leading practice by assets under management for the sixth year in a row.

The report found Matheson acted for more than 29 per cent of Irish domiciled investment funds by assets under management in June.

It also highlights the value of Irish domiciled funds has grown by 4.2 per cent to $2.7 trillion since June 2015, showing Ireland continues to be the European fund domicile of choice for global asset managers.

The funds industry also managed to attract over $19.8 billion in newly launched funds.

Tara Doyle, head of Matheson’s asset management and investment funds group, said: “Matheson is pleased to maintain its position as the number one ranked funds practice in Ireland by assets under management for a sixth consecutive year.

“We act for 29 per cent of all Irish domiciled investment funds which represents a market share over 10 per cent greater than our nearest competitor and reinforces our position as the leading asset management and investment funds practice.”

The group comprises over 50 fund professionals in total, led by 11 partners, and has extensive experience in UCITS and alternative investment funds including property funds, private equity funds, ETFs, money market funds, loan funds, fund of funds and in ICAV structuring.
