Tara Doyle, head of Matheson’s asset management and investment funds group, will moderate a panel at the Euromoney Learning Solutions 6th UCITS Conference in London.

She will chair a panel discussing compliance with the new UCITS V strict liability rules for depositaries on Thursday 26 May 2016.

Ms Doyle told Irish Legal News: “While UCITS V introduces new rules for UCITS depositaries that are, for the most part, aligned with those applied under the AIFMD, there are some key differences between the two regimes.

“One of those differences relates to the ability of the depositary of an AIF to contractually discharge strict liability for loss of assets, which a UCITS depositary cannot do.

“I am looking forward to discussing the issues regarding the compliance with the new strict liability rules and the new UCITS depositary rules generally with leading industry experts at the upcoming Euromoney Learning Solutions 6th UCITS Conference.”

Full details of the conference are available from the Euromoney Learning Solutions conference page.
