Mason Hayes & Curran (MHC) has been shortlisted in Best Community Engagement at the Managing Partners’ Forum (MPF) Awards for Management Excellence 2017.

The winner will be named at a gala dinner and awards ceremony in London on 8 March 2017.

The community engagement award recognises the management team that has “developed a reputation for their firm of being great corporate citizens”.

The firm has been nominated as a result of its sponsorship with the Royal Hibernian Academy and its Art Avenues Community Engagement Programme.

In an interview with the Sunday Independent, MHC’s marketing director Natalie McGuinness (pictured) said the firm has embraced art to stand out from other Irish law firms.

She said: “Unusually for a law firm, we have an entire art marketing programme. Art is part of our corporate social responsibility activity in the community and is also a great connector with other businesses.

“In partnership with the Royal Hibernian Academy, we run an initiative called ‘Art Avenues’, which works with local school children. It is a really rewarding programme and it is great to have the children exhibit their art creations in the boardroom for our staff.”
