Mason Hayes & Curran appoints Adrian Lennon as partner

Dublin-based law firm Mason Hayes & Curran (MHC) has appointed Adrian Lennon as a partner in its public and administrative law team.

Mr Lennon, who studied at University College Dublin and joined MHC in 2012, specialises in childcare and regulatory criminal law.

He will be working under Edward Gleeson, head of the public and administrative law team.

Mr Lennon has broad experience in litigation, acting in defence of clients as well as acting for the prosecution. In one notable case, he defended a criminal prosecution brought by An Garda Síochánainvolving six defendants, all of whom were acquitted.

He also regularly advises a number of government agencies on issues such as prosecution processes and represents these organisations in all court jurisdictions.

According to the firm, he developed a bespoke prosecution system for a government agency to utilise a piece of legislation that had not previously been used.

Mr Lennon regularly lectures at the Law Society of Ireland in criminal law and operates the Skills module of the Society’s criminal law course.
