Prominent family lawyer Marion Campbell has joined KOD Lyons after more than 10 years in private practice.

Ms Campbell, who will head the firm’s family law team, has practised as a solicitor since 1976, working at the Legal Aid Board for two decades and most recently leading Marion Campbell Solicitors in Dublin 2 for over a decade.

In addition to her work as a solicitor, she has lectured on family law for the Law Society of Ireland and previously served as chairperson of the Family Lawyers’ Association of Ireland (FLAI).

Commenting on her appointment, partner Matthew de Courcy told Irish Legal News: “Marion Campbell is long recognized as one of Ireland’s leading family law experts. An award-winning solicitor, she excels in her field and has led many ground-breaking cases across a range of family law areas.

“Marion has a keen interest in recent developments in law, particularly in the area of surrogacy. We are really delighted that she is joining our team.”

Ms Campbell added: “I am relishing the opportunity to join KOD Lyons, a progressive, energetic, campaigning law firm. Across their practice areas they demonstrate real commitment and passion for their work and clients.

“Family law is changing rapidly and many new issues continue to emerge. Our busy team look forward to progressing this important area of Irish life.”
