Louth District Court areas to be amalgamated

The District Court areas of Ardee, Drogheda and Dundalk are to be amalgamated into a single District Court area of Louth.
The change will take effect from 1 September 2025 and will not impact the number of days and sitting days each month.
From that date, documentation lodged with the court office must state “District Court Area of Louth District No. 6”. Any documentation referring to the District Court Area of Dundalk, Ardee or Drogheda will be returned unprocessed.
Business which has already begun in the District Court and has not completed before the date of the change will continue on the new basis.
