Louise Hooper appointed AI expert by ICCL Enforce
Louise Hooper
Enforce, the tech accountability unit of the Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL), has appointed Louise Hooper as AI expert.
Ms Hooper was a barrister at London’s Garden Court Chambers for over two decades.
She is an internationally acknowledged expert whose insight has been sought by national and international organisations including the Council of Europe.
She has advised widely, and co-authored and contributed to several legal textbooks. In 2025 she was named one of 100 Brilliant Women in AI ethics. She is a member of the European Commission’s expert advisory group on AI.
Enforce has helped to shape AI regulation, including the EU AI Act, and litigates and advocates on digital matters including AI. Enforce recently released Verity, a plug in for most AI LLM systems to detect and reduce hallucinations, which is free to anyone to use and adapt.
