LK Shields appoints new head of corporate and commercial

LK Shields has announced the appointment of Richard Curran as head of the firm’s corporate and commercial department.

Mr Curran joined the firm as a partner in 2005. He is an experienced international M&A lawyer, having qualified with another large Dublin corporate firm and worked for several years with Hammonds (now part of Squire Patton Boggs) in London and Berlin.

He has experiencing advising clients on private equity investments and shareholder arrangements, as well as public private partnership (PPP) and other PFI-type transactions across several sectors.

Commenting on Mr Curran’s appointment, Emmet Scully, managing partner at LK Shields, said: “Richard has been a significant asset to our Corporate and Commercial department since joining the firm.

“He has guided numerous national and international clients through a wide variety of commercially successful transactions and has been a driving force behind the firm’s business strategy.
