Legal access internship scheme opens for applications

Applications are now open for the legal access internship scheme jointly run by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Law Reform Commission, the Office of the Attorney General, the Chief State Solicitor’s Office and the Houses of the Oireachtas.
The two-month paid internship is open to final year undergraduate law students from underrepresented backgrounds.
Interns will gain practical experience in a public sector legal environment; work on legal research, drafting, and case preparation; build confidence and develop professional skills under the guidance of experienced mentors; and contribute to projects that support access to justice and equality.

The deadline for applications is 1pm on Friday 24 October 2025.
