Law graduate to compete in Rose of Tralee this weekend

Gráinne Carr

A law graduate training as a solicitor with William Fry next year is representing Co Kildare in the Rose of Tralee festival this weekend.

Gráinne Carr, 23, graduated from Maynooth University last September with a first class honours degree in Law and has since completed the Law Society entrance exams.

She currently works for Compton Solicitors in Dublin, but will begin training as a solicitor with William Fry in 2019.

Discussing her other pastimes, Ms Carr told Tralee Today: “Debating and public speaking are my passion, and I was fortunate to captain my debating team to win the Concern All Ireland Debating League.

“I have a grá for Irish dancing and I competed in feiseanna until university. I continue to dance as much as possible as it is lovely to have a passion that also has the added benefit of keeping fit!”
